Early Career Researchers Fellowship Programme
What is it?
The Skin Forum seeks to support researchers at a relatively early stage of their careers, including postdoctoral research associates, recent PhD graduates, and doctoral students. The aim of the ECR Fellowship programme is to establish new collaborations among scientists and promote the professional and personal development of early career researchers.
The ECR fellowship provides funding for up to 3 months and can be used to support: (i) visits from ECRs to laboratories of new collaborators (ii) travel and expenses for attendance at scientific conferences (iii) organisation of one-day meetings on skin related topics, including but not limited to skin diseases and their management, skin metabolism and topical/transdermal formulation development (iv) networking events for ECRs focused on career development, grant writing and mentoring.
Eligibility
Applicants must be based in the UK and at an early stage of their career and have worked in a relevant research area. Candidates may be post-doctoral research associates, recent PhD graduates, or doctoral students in their final year. Doctoral students at different stages of their PhD with significant research outcomes will also be considered. Applicants must not have yet been appointed to a permanent academic post in a UK higher education institution.
